Program Notes: Nature is My Lover is a dance/theater work created in response to Virginia Wolf’s 1928 fictional biography Orlando and it’s 1992 film adaptation, written and directed by Sally Potter. This performance revels in a fluid relationship to time, character, and explores the duality of masculine and feminine identities within each of us.
The text in Nature is my Lover was developed with support from the Playwrights’ Center’s Jerome Fellowship Program, Minneapolis, Minnesota.
